Pumpkin Printmaking
Light your students’ creativity up with this simple, yet impressive pumpkin printmaking process. While designing their own Jack-o’-lantern, students will explore symmetry, positive and negative space and gel printing. Build this project into your first semester plans and watch as you and your students “fall” in love with monoprinting.
In this lesson, you’ll find everything you need to make gel printed Jack-o’-lanterns, including a full supply list, detailed photo instructions, simplified 1 page instructions, project extensions and helpful tips along the way. I’ve done this project with 4th graders but it could work great with grades above and below to fit your needs.
